A Business Tax Receipt (formerly known as an Occupational License) is required for the privilege of engaging in or managing any business, profession, or occupation within the City limits. A separate Business Tax Receipt is required for each place and type of business.
The City of Dunedin has two different types of Business Tax Receipts; 1) for home-based businesses and 2) for commercial business locations. Please select the appropriate application below.
Please complete the appropriate application and apply at our Permitting Office. Taxes vary based on square footage, inventory, number of employees, etc.
Annual renewal of your Business Tax Receipt is required by September 30 of each year. Renewal notices are mailed to receipt holders in August.
