THE CHILDREN'S WRITERS GROUP
3rd Wednesday from 10-noon
The Children's Writers Group is an affiliate of the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators and focuses on supporting members through critique of each writer's work, cooperative writing projects and promotng writing skills. If you are interested in writing for children, please join.

COLORING FOR ADULTS -  Third Mondays from 6-7:45PM in Meeting Room B unless otherwise posted.  Join us for a relaxing evening of coloring.  All supplies are provided, or bring your own.  Music and refreshments too.  No instruction.  Just have fun and be creative. CONVERSATION CLUB
The Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas, with the support of the Dunedin Friends of the Library, hosts a Conversation Club each Wednesday evening from 5:45-7:30PM. Adult learners of English are welcome to attend and bring along their children. Refreshments are served at 5:45, with class beginning at 6:00 PM. The club meetings give learners the opportunity to practice speaking English with other ESL students under the direction of highly qualified teachers and their assistants. Child care is provided for pre-school and school-age children, with homework help available from an adult volunteer and teen helpers in the adjacent story time room. THE DUNEDIN WRITERS GROUP
Fridays at 9:30 AM
Open to all serious writers, the Dunedin Writers Group focuses on novels, short stories, articles, children's books, synopsis for agents, presentation letters, plays and scripts.

FREE MEDICARE COUNSELING
Get free, unbiased, one-on-one Medicare counseling with a representative from The Florida Department of Elder Affairs SHINE Agency on Wednesdays from 10AM-2PM or on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 4:30PM-7:30PM, here at the Library. Call 298-3080, x1707 for an appointment, or sign up at the Adult Information Desk.   Expanded hours are available during open enrollment, October - December.

GENEALOGY ASSISTANCE
Genealogy help (free) is available every Thursday, year round, from 1-3PM.  No appointment is necessary.  Members of the Caladesi Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Berkeley Plantation Chapter of the Colonial Dames XVII Century, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants are on hand to help with general questions, or for prospective members.  For more information, contact Cindi Russo, registrar for DAR, at 727-772-6262 or Anne B. THE LITERACY COUNCIL OF UPPER PINELLAS
Unlock the door to success by helping someone learn to read, speak and write English. Volunteer with the Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas. Attend training for just 4 hours to be assigned a student. SOCRATES CAFE
Meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month, 10AM-Noon.  Based on the idea that we learn more when we question and question with others, Socrates Café meetings are community gatherings where we explore philosophical questions.  All are welcome!
